Time flies fast when you're skateboarding off of roofs.
Skateboard? Check.
Electric guitar? Check.
Skipping school? Double check.
Joan Mayden is undeniably rock 'n' roll. When Joan's parents find out, there's a consequence: educational summer camp, where Joan has to navigate a prank war, a strict camp director, and a friendship with the director's annoying, ethically-motivated son.
Joan learns a lot at camp...
Just not what the authority figures were expecting.

Nau, an eleven-year-old girl, lives in the rainforest with her tribe, the Nautila. Amongst her people, tradition demands that all children spend six days alone in the wilderness as a coming-of-age ceremony, to prove their worth and claim their place in the tribe. In the first part of Nau’s story, she takes part in this tradition. Unfortunately, complications arise on the night of her expected return. With her eyesight missing, her tribe unaware of her existence, and her ex-friend intent on destroying her, the only thing to light up her path in the darkness is a searchlight.
