I was a guest reader for Last Leaves Literary Magazine: Issue 8. In collaboration with two other editors, I read and discussed over a thousand submissions. Many thanks to Kiera Baron and Cailey Thiessen for the experience and great literary conversations!
I've served as a guest judge reading manuscript submissions for the W.N.D.B. Mentorship Program in 2024 and 2025. It is an honor to be able to contribute to the field of diverse literature by providing feedback on literary quality and diverse representation with this program.
I edit all of my own work, from revision to line editing. This is an intensive process that takes large amounts of my time, but I have a knack for paying attention to details, and I've always absorbed literary conventions with ease through reading and practice. My skills during peer-editing workshops led to a job recommendation as an English tutor at Whatcom Community College, a position that I held for nearly two and a half years. I gained further insight into grammar, punctuation, and spelling rules during my time there, and I apply all that I've learned to the work that I edit, whether it is mine or someone else's.
I am one of the earliest members of the Queer Poets Society in Bellingham, Washington, where I have participated in group readings and provided and received feedback with fellow local poets since summer 2023.
Editing Services
If you are interested in hiring an editor, I am primarily available for shorter editing jobs at the moment (poetry and short stories), but I hope to have the time to edit manuscripts in the future. I am open to all genres, but please see my own writing to learn what I have the most experience with. I am particularly interested in editing work that is emotional, aspires to be high-quality literature, or highlights representation from lesser-known perspectives.
